The lust for experience approaches
But knows nothing yet
He has not experienced all they had to give
So how can he teach me?
What is he here for?
If his purpose has been defeated
Yet there he sits
Oblivious
Unconcerned
Care-free
He doesn’t understand
His visit doesn’t benefit me
So I sit there too
Staring at him
But completely mute
Thinking about if he’s thinking
Wondering if he’s wondering
He stands, I stand
He puts out his hand
He shakes, I shake
His moment has passed by
He disappears
But he has always been clever
I turn around and discover
He’s back for a second time.
